Since the Annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Slovak League was held on March 10 in Toronto, in the evening its members and friends invited the Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Slovak, Julius Behul and his wife Marika for an informal dinner to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the newspaper. The celebration took place in an excellent Slovak restaurant Liba's Bar and Grill at 448 Brown's Line in Etobicoke.
After congratulations from the President of the Canadian Slovak League, Mary Ann Doucette, started a pleasant get-together, and Mr. Stefan Reistetter Jr. presented his musical skills with traditional Slovak songs.
The formal celebration of the 70th anniversary of the weekly Canadian Slovaks and the 80th anniversary of the founding of Canadian Slovak League will take place at the 32nd Convention in April 2013 in Ottawa, so that this grand anniversary could be celebrated by the CSL delegates from Branches across Canada and distinguished guests and dignitaries from Canada and Slovakia.
