Branch 63 of the Canadian Slovak League was established in November 1951. The Special Events and Youth Activities Committee organizes cultural and social events and provides a support network for Slovaks in Ottawa. The Branch President is M. Mark Stolarik.
The University of Ottawa has the only Chair in Slovak History and Culture in the world where undergraduates and graduate students can study Slovak history and culture. Professor and Chairholder is M. Mark Stolarik
