The Canadian Slovak League Branch # 2 held its annual Slovak Day Picnic on July 31, 2011 in the beautiful Laurentians north of Montreal at Hostyn. It was beautiful sunny day which members as well as friends enjoyed together.
President of the Branch Lydia Matusky welcomed among others also the Ambassador of Slovak Republic in Canada, Milan Kollar and his wife Sonia and the Honorary Consul in Montreal, Dezider Michaletz and his wife.
Management of Hostyn prepared a delicious lunch for us and popular Slovak beer Zlaty Bazant was also available. In the afternoon John Chlumsky entertained us with his Slovak music and songs accompanied by our soloist Anna Vyboh. Thanks to the organizers from the Canadian Slovak League for a pleasant afternoon and we look forward to future get togethers.
